About the firm

Thirty five years of helping leaders and account executives succeed, and the firm that it created

A consulting practice focused on leadership, sales training, talent management and human capital development.

How we work

No junior associates, ever

We are known for timely, cost-effective and high quality programs built for the specific business challenge in front of us. Every aspect of an engagement is personally supervised by a Crisfield Group principal.

We do not send the A team to compete for your business and then delegate the work to less experienced junior associates. Your project is handled by people who have sat on both the client and the consulting side of this business.

We approach every assignment with a blank slate. Experienced in many disciplines and methodologies, we never bring a one-size-fits-all answer. You are owed a fresh perspective, so that is what we bring.

With more than thirty years of experience in corporate education and human capital development, The Crisfield Group delivers growth focused strategies and best in class content to meet your demanding challenges.

Core values

What we will and will not do

Honesty, integrity and objectivity

When you hire The Crisfield Group we take the confidence you place in us seriously. When we provide you advice, programs or services, it is our responsibility to give you all the facts and the benefit of our experience and opinions, whether or not it is what you want to hear.

Independence

As consultants, trainers, facilitators and strategists we stay independent of any method, solution or third party. We approach every assignment with an open and curious mind. We respect you and your challenges too much to force fit you into an off-the-shelf solution.

Competence

Every engagement is directly supervised by our founder and Managing Partner, Steven Rauschkolb. We do not compete for your business with our most experienced consultants and then turn the project over to less experienced junior associates. We only advise in areas where we have proven expertise.

Confidentiality

Everything we learn during an engagement is treated in confidence. That is why the case studies on this site describe the work in full and name no one.

The network

A bench, not a headcount

Engagements draw on a network of independent senior practitioners built over three decades, across executive coaching, instructional design, facilitation and organizational development.

You get the specialist your work needs rather than whoever happens to be available. As one client put it, the enthusiasm for the task is "equaled only by his extensive networks and subject matter experts, allowing him to quickly develop and deploy the appropriate training solution."
